With the 780 on its side, we are able to reproduce the factory undercoating.  Back in the day Bertone also tipped the 780 on its side and sprayed a thick protective coat.  After extensive power washing, degreasing, and steam cleaning the underside was ready for a new thick coat. We used a combination of 3M and Rustoleum brand, some 10 cans to get the job done. Fuel lines were removed, including the fuel tank, which didn’t have any undercoating under it, just on it, as Bertone applied the coating after it had been installed. The Rebuilding Generations team put a lot of work into the bottom side, including repainting all of the heat shields. I think we will need to provide a mirror to those who see the car at car shows to fully appreciate all this work!
