We moved the concept car off the lift and put it back in the other side of the shop to begin the job of removing literally everything to get to the point the body work can be done. The headlights and taillights were removed and to our excitement behind the tail lights is an example of the pearlescent blue paint in perfect condition, having never seen any light since it was first covered up at ASC some 30 years ago. This unique paint is going to be a challenge to reproduce but we are excited to have a pristine example to work with. I can only imagine how this reflected under the show lights at the 1990 New York Auto Show, as it was designed to do. They must have added a blue tint to the clear coat as well. Wow!
