My story with this car
I found this 780 in Vero Beach Fl. The wife and I booked at hotel and hopped a train to pick it up. The interior seen better days, but the car drove nice. It drove ultra nice on the 7 hour return trip.
I found some sail panels and front piece under the grill to replace the rusty bits. I daily drove it for next few months. I noticed small bubbles in the paint just above the windshield. It appears the when the previous owner had the sunroof removed the reskinned, the shop did not perform suitable work. Under layers of bondo/mud and paint, were rusty holes along the top of the windshield. I was gutted, but determined to repair it. I parked her up and did the best I could to slow the rust.
I recently (July 2020) replaced the fuel pump (both), filter, and fuel pump module. As I was replacing the fuel pump module, I found . . . you guessed it . . . more rust.
Completely gutted, I have to be realistic that I may not be able to repair all the rust. So, I'm turning to this forum to help me find this 780 a home where it could live one to save other.
