It’s hard to believe that a model building company would make the tremendous effort needed to create a 1:18 scale 780 model some 30 plus years since the car was introduced. Ben and his team at DNA Collectables, out of Switzerland, have gone to great lengths to recreate the 780 in all of its detail. As you can see the photos, if you didn’t know better you would think you were looking at a photo of the actual car.
To my knowledge, this is the only 1:18 scale 780 ever made. The model is in the popular 408 Red Pearl Metallic with the 2950 Beige interior.
Not only is the model beautiful but their customer service is impressive. I received consistent emails and updates on the status of the model, since I preordered it, and then updated shipping and tracking information all the way to my door. I encourage you to take a look at this limited edition model (of a limited edition car!). Total production is limited to 320 models and they are each numbered.
