front passenger seat safetyFRONT SEAT   We are having difficulty to remove the front seats. 4 bolts holding frame to floor was easy but there is additional safety that fits into a slot. One side is out (see left picture) but cannot get opposite side released and it is not visible. Suggestions?

REAR SEAT We are also having trouble with the rear seat upright cushion. We see a clip at each side on the bottom but there is something higher up. Checked inside trunk but did not see any bolt or clips. Solve the mystery?

We have a 1989 parts car if anyone needs help.

The front seats can be a real PITA.  I found it easiest to sit in the back, grab the seat back and move it back and forth while pulling up so when you hit the “sweet spot” it will pop out sortof.  It helps to have someone holding and pulling up on the front frame as well since these seats are NOT lightweights!  As far as the back – there are two upside-down U-shaped clips that hook into a bar at the bottom of the seat.  You have to push down HARD on the front of the seat cushion while pushing the cushion back.  Yes it is as miserable as it sounds.  I’ll take a couple of photos tonight and post them.  It helps to have a visual of the clips so you can see what you are up against.
