    Hi,

Does anybody has a solution to reset the SRS/Airbag indicator please?
I removed the steering wheel without unplug the battery, and now the SRS/Airbag indicator is on 🙁

    Thanks,
    Guillaume.

Does unhooking the battery for a period of time reset it?

    I tested, but it doesn’t work 🙁
I will ask to a friend which have an old VIDA/DICE.

I seem to recall it has to be grounded to be cleared.  Here is what I found on Brickboard.com

    http://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-240-740-940-12/volvo-740turbo-srs-light-50509/

“A common problem is corrosion of the contacts on the yellow or orange power connector for the crash sensor under the carpet on the transmission tunnel. If the procedure to reset the fault codes doesn’t work, make sure the contacts are clean and then try to clear the codes again. If the SRS light comes back on, the problem is probably another component or even low battery voltage. Faults must be cleared for the light to go out.”

I am a member of the brickboard as well, although I do not frequent it since there do not seem to be very many (if any) 780 owners there. Nonetheless, I do remember someone mentioning that their airbag deployed on them while driving! Even though it was I believe a 740, it still should be a concern especially if you’ve got corroded wires and under-seat issues presently.
