    Hi,

    I’m looking for a second hand fuel door lid…Anyone?

    Not needed any longer. Custom made a fuel door based on a one from a 740.

    Had to make the door 4 mm longer and build the part where the lock pin engages.

    6 EUR from the scrap yard. The stealer wanted  100 eur for a new one.

    On ebay cheapest was also aroud 100 usd incl. Shipment, so the custom made one was an abvious choise.

    Saved some bucks for something else and had fun while making it😊

    Did you remove the raised portion on the 740 door where you open it or leave that on?

    No, I flattened it out.

    I am currently painting it then I need to fit it and drill a hole for the locking pin.

    Have to source the fastening plastic rivets also….another visit to the junk yard I guess….

    Will show you pictures when completely finished.
