Chrome trim moulding on rear bumper – removing and installing

    Hi,

I´m planning to replace that big black plastic part on my rear bumper. I have all the nuts and clips for the job.

Now I´m wondering how easy it is to remove the chrome trim from the old plastic and install it to the new plastic?

I have a new seal that goes under that big chrome trim. I also have to remove and install those small trim parts in the corners.

    Any hints?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

Thank you for the pic! I have used that pic when I have bought clips and bolts. Sadly it doesn´t show how the chrome trims are attached.

The chrome strips have small tabs that are bent on the inside edges and tuck into small holes in the bumper cover. You have to work from the inside of the bumper to pry them up, if you try to pull from the outside, you will risk breaking them off. The chrome will also dent, so be careful.
